I struggle and emerge

The Flood Museum stands in Ouwerkerk at the site where the dykes broke. As a symbol of the battle against water. The dykes here were closed using caissons. These caissons have been reused to tell the story of the disaster. An industrial setting for the raw story. About despair and loss. But also about how to move on now, after the disaster. About reconstruction. About the innovations that were devised. And especially about the collaboration that was needed to achieve innovation.
